The M90Si-6S is a modular online double-conversion UPS for 208–240 V international single-phase infrastructure that needs higher capacity, redundancy, and flexible deployment. Built on a 6-slot architecture using hot-swappable 10 kW power modules, it scales from 10 kW to 30 kW with N+1 redundancy and modular battery expansion in a single platform — centralized, high-capacity continuity for global edge and distributed sites without moving to three-phase. Unity output power factor (kVA = kW), up to 98% ECO efficiency, and a full wrap-around maintenance bypass for service without dropping the load.
The M90Si-6S is designed for international single-phase environments that require higher capacity and flexible deployment. Capacity is increased incrementally by adding 10 kW power modules, while redundancy is implemented with an N+1 configuration in the same system — letting infrastructure planners align UPS capacity with actual load while keeping flexibility for future expansion. Hot-swappable power and battery modules provide rapid maintenance, and an in-frame maintenance bypass removes the need for external connection components.
Scale from 10 kW to 30 kW by adding hot-swappable 10 kW power modules, or add battery modules for runtime — matching UPS capacity to load without oversizing or forklift upgrades.
Configure a redundant power module for the highest availability inside a single frame — available up to 20 kW (two load modules plus one redundant), instead of deploying and managing multiple separate UPS. The 30 kW build uses all three power slots for capacity and is non-redundant.
Unity PF (kVA = kW) delivers full usable watts with best-in-class efficiency — up to 98% ECO mode — for the lowest energy consumption and heat output, with no need to oversize for a derated power factor.
Power and battery modules are hot-swappable for rapid maintenance and repair, and a full wrap-around maintenance bypass (behind the hinged LCD) transfers the load to utility power for safe on-site service.
Each power module carries its own LCD for module-level detail and redundancy status, and a 145 mm graphic system display shows overall status and alarms.
Hardwired input and output on terminal blocks — no line cords or receptacle distribution — supporting higher-capacity deployment and alignment with facility-level power architecture.
The M90Si-6S is the core modular UPS platform for global single-phase infrastructure — typically deployed in electrical rooms and telecom environments, across distributed international sites, where centralized UPS simplifies multi-system deployment. It is the 208–240 V counterpart to the 120 V M90S family.
Choose the M90Si-6S for 10–30 kW of scalable single-phase protection at 208–240 V, with N+1 redundancy up to 20 kW. When the facility moves to three-phase 400 V, follow the rack-integrated path from the entry-tier M90Ci-2S (10 kW) to the scalable M90Ci-6S (10–60 kW) and the high-density Ai90 (50–70 kW, 13U). For rack-level lithium protection, see the J90i, and for long-runtime online needs the P91g and T91i.
Traditional UPS systems must be oversized up front or replaced as infrastructure grows. The M90Si-6S lets capacity, redundancy, and runtime scale incrementally within a single system.
| Architecture | Modular UPS (M90Si) | Traditional UPS |
|---|---|---|
| Capacity scaling | Add 10 kW modules as needed | Fixed capacity |
| Redundancy | Built-in (N+1) | Requires multiple systems |
| Runtime | Modular battery expansion | Less flexible |
| Maintenance | Module-level service | Full-system service |
| Lifecycle | Extendable | Replace at capacity |
| Model | Capacity (kVA / kW) | Power modules | Max battery charging | Architecture |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| M90Si-6S 10K | 10 / 10 | 1 × 10 kW | 4 A | 6-slot, N+1 capable |
| M90Si-6S 20K | 20 / 20 | 2 × 10 kW | 8 A | 6-slot, N+1 capable |
| M90Si-6S 30K | 30 / 30 | 3 × 10 kW | 12 A | 6-slot, max capacity (non-redundant) |
All models share a 6-slot enclosure (3 universal slots that take a power or battery module, plus 3 battery-only slots) — a maximum of three 10 kW power modules (30 kW). For N+1, add one power module beyond the load, so redundancy is available up to 20 kW (two load modules plus one redundant); at 30 kW all three power slots carry load, so the 30 kW configuration is a maximum-capacity, non-redundant build. Unity output power factor. Battery system is ±192 VDC (default) or ±240 VDC; each battery module holds 32 × 12V 5Ah cells. Up to 8 battery modules are supported per power module; the optional BC-7 (±192 V) or X90-BC (±240 V) cabinet adds 7 battery slots each.
The M90Si-6S is designed for hardwired electrical integration within global infrastructure. Unlike smaller plug-and-deploy UPS, it does not use line cords or receptacle-based distribution — input and output land on terminal blocks — supporting higher-capacity deployment, improved electrical reliability, and alignment with facility-level power architecture. M90Si systems support rack-based deployment with integrated mounting and modular access, enabling installation in standard equipment racks while maintaining serviceability.
Runtime in minutes by number of installed battery modules across the 10, 20, and 30 kW configurations. The banner shows the cabinet configuration — internal slots (UPS), plus the optional BC-7 / X90-BC battery cabinets (UPS + 1 BC7, UPS + 2 BC7). The stepped line tracks the six-slot enclosure sharing power and battery slots: the internal-battery maximum falls as more power modules are installed (5 internal modules at 10 kW, 4 at 20 kW, 3 at 30 kW), with each BC7 cabinet adding seven more slots beyond it.

A maximum of 8 battery modules can be recharged per power module — an additional power module is required for battery recharge beyond 8 modules. Many international deployments run on single-phase power. The M90Si-6S brings centralized UPS protection with scalable capacity and redundancy to these environments — without three-phase electrical infrastructure — across telecommunications and cell-tower sites, edge compute and containerized systems, distributed commercial facilities, industrial automation, broadcast, and remote installations. It is typically selected when infrastructure is expected to grow, redundancy is required in a single system, distributed UPS are hard to manage, runtime exceeds rack-UPS capability, or international deployment standardization is required.
