Overview

15-year lithium battery life in a space-saving 1U

The J60C brings lithium-ion battery technology to an 8.5-inch-deep 1U chassis — ideal for short-depth racks, with extra room left over for cable management. Its LiFePO₄ batteries last 3–4× longer than typical lead-acid, and up to 15 years of service life lowers cost of ownership by minimizing UPS maintenance.

A smart LCD adds local status and metering, and an optional Web/SNMP card provides remote management plus per-receptacle on/off control to reboot connected loads. The J60C protects small edge, retail, banking, healthcare, and education environments — and supports IDF/MDF closets, back-office, and network equipment. Learn more in the lithium UPS guide →

Features

Built for shallow, space-constrained racks

Short depth

8.5-inch depth

Fits shallow cabinets, wall enclosures, and other space-constrained applications where full-depth rack UPS systems can’t be installed — and leaves room for cable management.

Long-life battery

LiFePO₄ — up to 15 years

Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries provide protection for up to 15 years or 3,000–5,000 cycles — 3–4× longer than typical VRLA — reducing replacement cycles and maintenance.

Smart LCD

Front-panel display

The LCD delivers vital monitoring and precise UPS status and metering directly from the front panel.

Output power control

Remote per-receptacle reboot

With the optional Web/SNMP card, switch J60C output power remotely to reboot connected loads — plus full UPS monitoring and management.

Environmental monitoring

Temperature & humidity

An optional Environmental Monitoring Device tracks temperature and humidity at the cabinet (requires the Web/SNMP card).

High efficiency

Up to 98% efficiency

The J60C operates at up to 98% efficiency in normal mode, lowering utility cost and reducing heat output in enclosed cabinets.

Short-depth rack architecture

The cabinet-level continuity layer

The J60C enables rack-level power protection where cabinet depth rules out standard UPS systems. Combining a compact 1U form factor with a short-depth design, it deploys directly inside shallow enclosures and distributed infrastructure — aligning with modern edge and network architectures where protection lives locally rather than centrally. Its standby topology delivers efficient ride-through and controlled shutdown without the cost and complexity of a larger online UPS. See the rack power architecture guide →

The J60C is the right choice when cabinet depth is the constraint — its 8.5-inch short-depth 1U fits shallow racks and wall-mount enclosures where standard UPS systems won’t. For embedded or device-level protection, consider the J60. When form factor is standard 2U rack/tower, consider the P91 Li. For high-density 1U online double-conversion, step up to the J90.

Typical applications

Where the J60C is deployed

The J60C is deployed across distributed environments where shallow cabinet depth limits equipment choice but reliable battery backup is still required: network closets and shallow IT racks, AV systems and media installations, security and surveillance infrastructure, retail edge systems and kiosks, and telecommunications cabinets. A 600 VA system typically supports shallow-rack equipment in the 100–300 W range, with runtime intended for ride-through and controlled shutdown. Size it with the UPS selector →

Mobile & cart applications

Lithium UPS for mobile AV and IT carts

The J60C’s ultra-short-depth 1U fits the shallow racks and cabinets built into mobile AV and IT carts, and LiFePO₄ chemistry handles the repeated daily discharge-and-recharge cycling that comes with carts being unplugged, moved, and reconnected. It’s the rack-integrated counterpart to the embedded J60 for cart builds that already carry rackmount equipment.

AV & presentation carts

Mobile AV systems

Classroom, conference-room, training, and event carts. The short-depth 1U slots into mobile racks and cabinets that won’t accept a full-depth UPS, with quiet operation for shared spaces.

Mobile IT & network carts

Workstation & network carts

Carts carrying rackmount switches, routers, and compute. With the optional Web/SNMP card, per-receptacle reboot power-cycles a hung device remotely — no site visit for a frozen switch.
