10–60 kW | 400/230V | Modular Three-Phase UPS
Scalable modular three-phase UPS system designed for 400 V infrastructure requiring flexible capacity, redundancy, and simplified deployment in rack or tower configurations.

The M90Ci-6S is a scalable modular three-phase UPS for global 400/230 V infrastructure, delivering online double-conversion protection from 10 kW to 60 kW. Built on a flexible six-slot architecture, it separates power and battery modules so capacity, redundancy, and runtime can each be scaled within one compact cabinet — with N+1 redundancy, unity power factor output, up to 98% ECO efficiency, a full wrap-around maintenance bypass, hot-swappable modules, internal or external battery options, rack or tower deployment, and TAA compliance for federal and regulated procurement. The M90Ci platform is engineered for the 400 V systems used in modern data centers, industrial environments, and distributed compute.

The M90Ci-6S enables scalable three-phase UPS protection within rack or compact tower environments. By separating power and battery modules in a modular architecture, it supports both capacity scaling and runtime flexibility without a centralized UPS — simplifying deployment, reducing infrastructure footprint, and improving service accessibility. This aligns with the distributed power architectures used in modern data centers and industrial systems, deployed nearer the load it protects.
Modular 10 kW power modules let capacity grow from 10 kW to 60 kW within a single compact cabinet — modules can be added as power or runtime requirements change, without replacing the system.
Configure a redundant power module for the highest availability inside a single system — available up to 50 kW (five load modules plus one redundant), rather than deploying and managing multiple separate UPS units. The 60 kW build uses all six power slots for capacity and is non-redundant.
Online double-conversion delivers continuously conditioned power isolated from upstream disturbances; unity power factor (kVA = kW) provides full real-power delivery without oversizing, with best-in-class efficiency up to 98% ECO mode for the lowest energy and heat.
A modular battery architecture supports internal battery modules and the optional BC battery cabinet (up to 8 battery modules per power module), so runtime scales independently of capacity to suit each deployment.
Hot-swappable power and battery modules enable rapid maintenance and repair, and a full wrap-around maintenance bypass (behind the hinged 145 mm LCD) transfers the load to utility power for safe on-site service.
Tower deployment is standard, with an optional rack mounting kit for standard equipment racks — suiting both space-constrained and rack-integrated 400 V environments.
The M90Ci-6S is the primary scalable platform within the M90Ci family of 400/230 V modular three-phase UPS — for edge data centers, industrial environments, and distributed infrastructure where capacity exceeds compact UPS but does not require a large centralized system.
Step down to the compact M90Ci-2S (10 kW) for entry 400 V deployments, up to the high-density Ai90 (50–70 kW), or across to the 208/120 V M90C-6S for North American infrastructure.
Traditional three-phase UPS are centralized, fixed in capacity, and require larger electrical-room infrastructure. The M90Ci-6S lets capacity, redundancy, and runtime scale within a modular system deployed closer to the load — improving efficiency, reducing infrastructure requirements, and simplifying long-term expansion.
| Architecture | M90Ci-6S (modular) | Traditional three-phase |
|---|---|---|
| Capacity scaling | Add power modules (10–60 kW) | Fixed capacity |
| Deployment | Rack or tower, near the load | Centralized electrical room |
| Redundancy | Built-in (N+1) | Requires multiple systems |
| Runtime | Internal or external battery scaling | Less flexible |
| Expansion | Simplified, in-system | Replace at capacity |
| Model | Capacity (kVA / kW) | Max battery charging | Architecture |
|---|---|---|---|
| M90Ci-10K | 10 / 10 | 4 A | 6-slot, N+1 capable |
| M90Ci-20K | 20 / 20 | 8 A | 6-slot, N+1 capable |
| M90Ci-30K | 30 / 30 | 12 A | 6-slot, N+1 capable |
| M90Ci-40K | 40 / 40 | 16 A | 6-slot, N+1 capable |
| M90Ci-50K | 50 / 50 | 20 A | 6-slot, N+1 capable |
| M90Ci-60K | 60 / 60 | 24 A | 6-slot, max capacity (non-redundant) |
All models share a 6-slot enclosure (5 universal slots plus 1 power-module-only slot) — a maximum of six 10 kW power modules (60 kW). For N+1, add one power module beyond the load, so redundancy is available up to 50 kW (five load modules plus one redundant); at 60 kW all six power slots carry load, so the 60 kW configuration is a maximum-capacity, non-redundant build. Unity output power factor. Battery system is ±192 VDC (default) to ±240 VDC; each battery module holds 32 × 12V 5Ah cells. Up to 8 battery modules are supported per power module, and the optional BC battery cabinet adds 7 battery slots. (The datasheet lists these as part numbers M90Ci-10K through M90Ci-60K.)
Runtime in minutes by number of installed battery modules across the 10–60 kW configurations. The stepped line tracks the six-slot enclosure sharing power and battery slots: cells to its left use battery modules inside the UPS, the next band adds one BC battery cabinet, and the last adds a second — so the internal-battery maximum falls as more power modules are installed (5 modules at 10 kW down to none at 60 kW).

The M90Ci-6S is designed for permanent installation with hardwired input and output connections on terminal blocks. The integrated maintenance bypass enables safe load transfer during service, while modular components allow simplified replacement and reduced downtime. Tower deployment is standard, and an optional rack mounting kit allows integration into standard equipment racks or space-constrained environments.
With the optional rack mounting kit, the M90Ci-6S installs into standard equipment racks with front service access. The short video below shows the modular rack-installation approach.
