High-density three-phase protection, at the rack

The Ai90 defines the category of high-density rack-integrated three-phase UPS systems. It delivers conditioned three-phase power directly at the rack level — without reliance on centralized UPS cabinets — consolidating power conversion, battery energy storage, maintenance bypass, and output distribution into a unified rack architecture. This supports resilient deployment across high-density compute, edge infrastructure, industrial systems, healthcare technology, and research environments where space efficiency and serviceability are critical.

Ai90 enables three-phase UPS protection to be deployed within the rack, aligning power infrastructure with compute density. By integrating power conversion, battery, bypass, and distribution into a single 13U system, it eliminates centralized UPS cabinets, reduces infrastructure complexity, and improves deployment efficiency — achieving over 5 kW per U in 480V systems. The platform ships in modular sections (a 5U UPS section and an 8U battery section, busbar-connected) for simplified transport and faster installation than floor-standing UPS.

All models are 13U rack-integrated, unity power factor, online double-conversion, with integrated battery, bypass, and distribution. Output distribution modules (one per system): A = (4)×63A, B = (2)×100A, C = (2)×125A 3-pole breakers; hardwired or factory pigtails (NEMA / IEC 60309). Input voltage range +15% / −20% at 100% load; 50/60 Hz.

Approximate runtime in minutes by load, from internal batteries (two strings) through one to seven Ai90-EBC4 external battery cabinets. The Ai90 is optimized for short-duration ride-through to generator transfer, with external cabinets extending runtime as needed.

The Ai90 puts 50–70 kW of 480V three-phase protection inside the rack. When the UPS belongs on the floor beside the load instead of in the rack, the X90-1S delivers the same 50–70 kW 480V single-module architecture — power module, batteries, and integrated maintenance bypass — as a self-contained, tower-style floor-standing cabinet just 23.6″ wide.
