LiFePO₄ (lithium iron phosphate) batteries are rated for 3,000–5,000 discharge cycles and up to 15 years service life in ideal conditions. Across distributed deployments with 20 or 50 UPS units, eliminating the 3–5 year VRLA replacement cycle is a significant operational and cost advantage.

IDF closets, telecom rooms, and industrial enclosures regularly exceed 35–40°C. VRLA batteries specified at 25°C degrade rapidly above 30°C. The J90i’s LiFePO₄ battery and thermal design support reliable operation to 50°C — covering the full range of real-world rack deployment environments.
