600-1000VA
230VAC
Reliable battery backup and power protection for your business electronics
600–1000 VA · 230 VAC · Line-Interactive UPS · Automatic Voltage Regulation
The A70i is the entry-level 230 V line-interactive UPS in the Xtreme Power portfolio — 600–1000 VA of compact, device-level protection for automation, network, and small-office equipment. Boost and buck Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) corrects voltage sag and surge in both directions without draining the battery, while an LCD, HID-compliant USB, a USB device-charging port, and RJ45 surge protection round out a simple, flexible deployment. CE / RoHS, backed by a 3-year warranty (1 year outside the USA and Canada) and a $25,000 load-protection policy.
The A70i provides reliable battery backup and voltage stability for environments that need dependable protection without rack infrastructure. Line-interactive topology with boost and buck AVR corrects common power problems — voltage sag, surge, and brownout — without switching to battery, transferring to backup only for true outages. It is engineered for localized continuity and controlled shutdown rather than extended runtime, with a compact chassis that installs almost anywhere.

Boost and buck AVR corrects sustained under- and over-voltage in both directions without switching to battery — stabilizing output on weak or fluctuating 230 V supplies and reducing battery cycling.
A lightweight chassis sits horizontally on a desk or floor, stands vertically as a tower, or mounts on a wall via keyhole slots — fitting space-constrained, rack-free sites.
An HID-compliant USB port gives plug-and-play monitoring and safe shutdown; a separate USB-A 5 V / 2.1 A port charges phones and tablets during an outage.
Integrated RJ45 (10/100) surge protection shields networked gear from spikes; of the (12) C13 outlets, (6) are battery-backed and (6) are surge-only.
The battery swaps from a bottom compartment, and after a full discharge the A70i auto-restarts when utility returns — no truck roll to power-cycle.
Connected-equipment protection plus a 3-year electronics and battery warranty in the USA and Canada, 1 year outside, back every A70i.
The A70i starts from battery with no utility present, so equipment can be brought up before power returns. It also charges while switched off, so a unit left powered down does not sit flat.
The A70i operates as the entry-level 230 V platform within the Xtreme Power architecture — deployed at the device or small-system level in distributed and edge environments where compact, flexible protection matters more than runtime depth.

All models share (12) IEC C13 receptacles — (6) battery-backed and (6) surge-only — with an IEC C14 inlet. Capacity guidance: 600 VA for small devices, routers, and embedded electronics; 800 VA for network equipment and automation; 1000 VA for higher-load small infrastructure and office systems.
The A70i uses internal batteries sized for ride-through and controlled shutdown. Runtime is shown in minutes at each load level, from light load to full load (100% = 360 / 480 / 600 W at 0.6 power factor).

Estimated minutes; values vary with battery age, temperature, and load profile. The A70i is optimized for localized device protection and controlled shutdown rather than extended runtime, and does not support external battery expansion.
The A70i is deployed wherever compact, flexible 230 V protection is required: automation and control systems, network equipment and communications devices, small-office and home-office setups, security and access-control systems, and distributed edge or embedded systems. These environments prioritize simple deployment, a small footprint, and reliable operation over extended runtime.

Less than most people expect, and that is by design. The A70i is sized for ride-through and controlled shutdown, not for working through an outage. An A70i-1000 runs about 5 minutes at half load and under a minute at full load; at 30% load it reaches 11 minutes. If the requirement is to keep running rather than to shut down safely, specify at 30% of rating or below, or move to a product with external battery expansion. The A70i does not accept external packs.
Automatic Voltage Regulation corrects sustained under- and over-voltage by adjusting the output without switching to battery. On a weak or fluctuating 230 V supply that is the difference between a UPS that cycles its battery all day and one that only discharges for genuine outages. Fewer cycles means the battery lasts longer, which matters on a sealed lead acid product at this price.
No. The A70i produces a simulated sine wave, which suits switch-mode power supplies in routers, switches, POS terminals and most IT equipment. Equipment with active PFC power supplies, some motors and certain medical devices want a true sine wave. Where that is required, step up to an online product such as the T91i.
By load, then leave headroom. The A70i-600 gives 360 W, the 800 gives 480 W and the 1000 gives 600 W, all at 0.6 power factor. Since runtime falls away sharply above half load, size on watts and aim to land at or below 50% of the rating. All three share the same chassis and the same twelve C13 receptacles, so the only thing changing is capacity and battery size.
Six of the twelve. The other six are surge-only. Put the equipment that must ride through an outage on the backed group and everything else on the surge group, which keeps the load on the battery down and the runtime up. There is also RJ45 surge protection for a 10/100 data line.
No. The A70i is a compact chassis that sits flat on a desk or floor, stands on end as a tower, or mounts on a wall using the keyhole slots. For rack-mounted 230 V protection, the P80g is the line-interactive option and the P91g the online one.
The A70i is built primarily for OEM and volume deployments rather than stocked for single-unit sale. Minimum order quantities apply and lead times are longer than for stocked products. If you are standardizing on one UPS across many sites, that is the case it is built for. For a small number of units, the J60i covers similar ground from stock.
