The XBDM HW provides UPS maintenance bypass with hardwired terminal-block input and output. Transfer critical loads from UPS power to utility power with a single bypass switch — so the UPS can be repaired or replaced without ever dropping the load.

The XBDM HW lets you manually transfer critical loads from UPS power to utility power using a bypass switch, enabling UPS repair or replacement without power interruption to the load. Transferring back to protected UPS power is just as easy — simply return the bypass switch to the UPS position.
Available in 15A, 20A, and 30A 120VAC ratings plus a 230VAC/63A model, the XBDM HW uses hardwired terminal-block connections for both utility input and system output. The 15A and 20A models add six 5–15R output receptacles and source-availability LED indicators, and keep connected loads surge protected even when the UPS is in bypass mode.

Two modes of operation
A single bypass switch moves your critical loads between protected UPS power and direct utility power. Output to the connected loads always comes from the XBDM HW — so you can service or swap the UPS without ever dropping the load.
1) Utility mode
Utility power bypasses the UPS system and is supplied to the load directly — used while the UPS is serviced or replaced.
2) UPS mode
Power is routed through the UPS system to the connected load — the normal, fully protected operating state.
